Index News Editor Rachel Becker designs a page. The Index won 18 awards at MCMA this year.

The Truman State University Index won 18 awards from the Missouri College Media Association, including second place in Best Overall Newspaper in Div. II and third place in the Div. II sweepstakes.

MCMA is an organization representing newspapers and yearbooks from colleges and universities around the state.

Truman Media Network also recently won 8 awards from the Missouri Broadcast Educators Association.

The annual conference was originally intended to be held in-person on Truman’s campus, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic it was moved to a virtual format.
