Jerry Frost Celebrity Benefit Auction to be held Saturday, Sept. 26

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Jerry Frost Celebrity Benefit Auction will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Kirksville Arts Center.

Jerry Frost, a former Sodexo worker at Truman State, became severely ill during June 2014. The proceeds of this auction will assist Frost and his wife Tamara, a Truman alum and former adjunct communication professor, to pay over $40,000 in medical bills.

Some items include an Avengers 2 poster signed by Joss Whedon, a photo of Gandalf signed by Ian McKellan, a photo of Captain Kirk signed by William Shatner, signed Star Wars photos, Broadway Playbills, and other various items.

Mike White, a former student who is helping with the auction, says the items that will be at the auction have been donated either from the celebrities themselves or through private collections. He says while some of the items may not be in everyone’s interest or budget, they have something for everyone.

Doors open at 6pm and the auction will begin at 7pm. There will be up to a $15 cover for families which acts as a deposit towards winning bids.
