TSU student dies on campus

A Truman State University student died Saturday, Feb. 3 in her residence hall room.

In a campus-wide email sent Sunday morning, Janna Stoskopf, vice president for student affairs, stated that second-year student Maya Warr died the previous day. Warr was a biology and pre-med student who lived in Missouri Hall.

Stoskopf’s email encouraged students to seek mental health assistance if they feel they are in need of it. She further offered her support to students who can contact her with any concerns at (660) 785-4111. Students may also contact University Counseling Services at (660) 785-4014 during business hours or the UCS crisis-line at (660) 665-5621 after hours.
