Election Coverage Promotional Portfolio

The Truman Media Network will be covering the General Election this coming Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Teams of student-reporters will be canvassing the Show-Me State in locations such as St. Louis, Jefferson City, Columbia and right here in Kirksville. In preparation for the Election, TMN reporters are covering various election-related events around Kirksville, including the GOTV Rally with Sen. Claire McCaskill (Dem.) and 9th Congressional District candidate Judy Baker's (Dem.) visit to campus on Monday, November 3, 2008.

KTRM 88.7 The Edge will be broadcasting live throughout the evening beginning at 5 p.m. Preceding the Coverage, both News 36 KTRM-TV and KTRM will be re-broadcasting the 2008 Adair County Candidates Forum and the 2008 Legislative Healthcare Forum. Audio and video broadcasts will air simultaneously on KTRM and News 36 respectively beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3 and Tuesday, Nov. 4. Tuesday's Coverage will end after the General Election results have been reported.

KTRM 88.7 The Edge will be collaborating on live Broadcast Coverage with KCOU 88.1FM (University of Missouri-Columbia) and the Student Life newspaper (Washington University in St. Louis). Teams of reporters will be calling-in to the shows throughout the evening, giving detailed updates on the atmosphere of their locations.
