Joan Bray demonstrated her support for Democratic Governor-elect Jay Nixon tonight at The Pageant rally in downtown
“We are very optimistic and hopeful because we have had such a great turnout,” Bray said.
The outcome of voters making it to the polls for this years election became an overall success. An increase in first-time voter turnout benefited the outcome.
“The number of young people who have registered and voted looks very good. With students at their early maturity of voting maybe it will become a pattern, well hopefully it will become a pattern especially because I have a good feeling about what will happen this time,” Bray said.
Bray is strongly in support of Nixon because of his displayed passion and intention to connect with the people and focus on family concerns involving issues of healthcare and education.
Bray has helped the Nixon campaign by providing assistance for 18-20 months and respects Nixon for his desire to balance the numbers in the legislature.
To make this election an overall success in the eyes of Joan Bray, she admits,
“I would just like to go home happy.”
This result would arise after Jay Nixon was elected Governor of Missouri, and Barack Obama was elected President . As the night came to an end, the results proved that Joan Bray walked away from The Pageant with her head held high.
