Truman, being a major university, cannot possibly think that adulthood will ingrain certainty in you. Truman has been around to know better.

There are SOME things that are axiomatic. But not many. Not many at all.

When you find an adult that is "certain" of any political, religious or social position, you have found an adult who has long since stopped thinking, stopped evaluating, stopped questioning and, IMO, may as well have stopped breathing.

I'm think Truman knows this. But...I'm not certain.

I’ve studied French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.

I rarely use any of them. Oddly enough, the only non-English language I ever use lately is Chinese.

However, you are, in my opinion, correct.

Learning a new language is partly about being able to communicate, but it’s more than that. Different languages are built around different ways of thinking. Learning a new language doesn’t just teach you some kind of verbal cipher for English, rather, it shows you a whole new way of thinking, a whole new way of approaching the world.

Even if you eventually forget the language, you still remember that different perspective on life.

It’s worth the trip!

You realize, I hope that there is a HUGE typo in the headline of this article.

Your article argues for reduced penalties for NON-violent crimes, but the headline talks about reduced penalties for VIOLENT crimes.

I had been wondering if your web host is OK? Not that I am complaining, but slow loading instances times will often affect your placement in google and could damage your quality score if ads and marketing with Adwords. Well I am adding this RSS to my e-mail and can look out for a lot more of your respective interesting content. Ensure that you update this again very soon..

You said: "Despite whatever benefits the Facebook pages for anonymous posts might have, in the end, students should remember these pages cannot offer a comforting hug after the sharing of a secret or the kiss of a newfound love."

SHAME ON YOU! Giving all of your personal information to Mark Zuckerberg so that he can sell it to every possible type of advertiser is FAR better than a hug or the kiss of a newfound love! Get with the program!

But couldn't the petition for removal be denied for the serious offenders? Either way you would need to look up specific case details to determine what the people close to you were involved in.
Other bill is 589 sponsored by Dave Hinson.

This is the dark side of political correctness. It is, in my opinion, a deliberate tactic to silence opposition.

While the left is making the best use of it lately, the right has done the same. In the McCarthy era if you disagreed with anything conservative you could and would be labeled a communist or a communist sympathizer, with potentially disastrous consequences to your career and social acceptability.

Nowadays it’s racism if you disagree with anything liberal. It’s homophobia if you express anything less than complete agreement with all things LGBT and so on.

Part of the tactic is to anger and provoke the dissenting person into a display of temper. This is then used to make you look even worse and further discredit anything you might have to say.

The truth is that as human beings, we all have changing viewpoints and changing opinions. (Anyone who has never changed their opinion on anything has never THOUGHT about anything.)

But it’s human nature that when people’s core viewpoints change, they change slowly. That’s an evolutionary trait. If we changed our world views at the drop of a hat, we would too easily change from things that have worked for a long time to things that don’t…and we would have died out.

Anyone who insists on instant change in other people is ignoring this fundamental human trait and will be doomed to disappointment.

And anyone who is taking any shift in their fundamental beliefs very slowly should NOT be ashamed about this. It just means you’re human.
