The Truman State University men’s tennis team lost 6-3 against Central College in a tennis match last Saturday, but the Bulldogs claimed their first two singles victories of the season in the process.
The Bulldogs have a 0-7 record for the season, though none of it counts towards the team’s GLVC record. Previously their only victory in any match was a doubles win against Quincy University on Sunday, Feb. 4.
Senior Paul Province won the top singles spot 2-1 in a best-of-3 match, while sophomore Nick Thiele won the fourth singles spot 2-0. Province and freshman Arpit Sahoo also took the top doubles spot 8-4 for their second victory of 2018.
The men will take a few weekends without gameplay before travelling to Grinnell, Iowa, to play Grinnell College on March 3.
