Students living on campus voted at the Student Union Building Nov. 5. Many reported experiencing no problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Freshman Siman Loethen said this was her first time voting and she had an easy time voting at the SUB.<\/span><\/p>\n

“There were a couple of amendments I wish I had looked into a little bit more before voting,” Loethen said. “But overall I think that I came in a good amount of prepared at least the ones that I was really passionate about.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Freshman Taylor Popp voted for the first time as well. Popp said voting was a little stressful but overall, it was an easy experience since he did research before hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Popp said he hopes to see more young people vote.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t think there is ever a reason you shouldn\u2019t vote. I think that it doesn\u2019t really matter what your opinion is, that there is a reason that people fought for the ability to vote and that everyone can now vote because of that,” Popp said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sophomore Logan Honerkamp said he is not super into politics, but he felt good after voting on the issues he felt passionate about.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I think there is a lot of us that feel very strongly about certain things and I feel with the amount of us that are voting I feel like our voices are going to be heard and at least I hope that what is on the ballot and what our generation votes for will actually be passed,” Honerkamp said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
