Truman Week 2025 & Ice Cream Social
Aug. 13 Ice Cream Social
- At the end of move-in day and Residence Hall meetings, Freshmen have the opportunity to make connections with their housemates and peers, and get their feet on the ground floor for Truman Week.
Aug 14 Majors Welcome
- The majors welcome seperates freshmen into small groups following their Major, allowing them to make connections with students who share similar interests and passions. This event allows students to meet their professors and make connections with potential role models
Aug 14 Shade Tree Begins
- Shade Tree allows students to have more direct conversations with their floor neighbors for the school year. With the Resident Advisor facilitating conversations, students sit in a circle in the shade of the many trees on campus.
Aug. 15 Ridiculous Relays
- One of the many “College Cup Competitions,” the Ridiculous Relays has students compete against each other on behalf of their respective residence halls. The Relays are not pure athletic competition, with puzzles and many unique rules that involve fun strategies.
Aug. 16 The Big Truman Show
- The Big Truman Show is Truman Weeks’ award ceremony for the College Cup. Starting with the two last competitions being the big Trivia Contest, followed by a Name That Tune competition. With the end of the Show being the presentation of the College cup.
