Student Government’s second annual Women’s Leadership Conference is only two weeks away! The conference is organized in conjunction with the annual Women and Gender Studies Research Conference and hosts a variety of presentations, panels, workshops, and discussions. This year, the conference will be held on Saturday, February 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with check-in beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Baldwin Hall, Room 101. Attendance is free of charge and open to all Truman students and faculty members.
This year’s conference includes a round-table discussion hosted by Rebecca McClanahan, former Missouri State Representative, entitled “Women’s Leadership in Politics and Public Health” amongst many other events. By featuring various professors, organizations, and leaders throughout Truman’s campus as well as the surrounding community, the conference aims to facilitate discussion, promote networking, and cultivate women’s empowerment.
