Find Your Polling Place

Midterms are tomorrow and that means finding a place to vote. For Truman students, there are a few options for finding a local polling place.

Seniors Raidan Koy and Elowyn Wells have been blogging in their political communication course about the midterms – “The Ballot Breakdown.”

“You are a citizen of Missouri,” Koy said. “There are some very serious issues that are on the ballot this semester, and if you want to say in, the way Missouri’s headed, you have to vote.”

For students who are registered to vote in Adair County, the SUB Down Under will be open Nov. 3, 2026, as a voting location. Students can check their voter ID cards to see where they are specifically registered to vote. They can check this link to see where they are located.

Additional locations for Adair County voters include:

  • KV1 Cornerstone Church @ 1702 N Elson St, Kirksville MO
  • KV2 Rehoboth Baptist Church @ 100 Pfeiffer Ave, Kirksville MO
  • KV3 Loyal Order of the Moose @ 2405 E Illinois St, Kirksville MO
  • KV4 Adair County Annex @ 300 N Franklin St, Kirksville MO
  • TSU 1st Floor Student Union @ 901 S Franklin St, Kirksville MO
  • Novinger Community Center @ 101 Snyder Ave, Novinger MO
  • Missouri Department of Conservation @3500 S Baltimore, Kirksville MO
  • NEMO Fairgrounds @ 2700 E Illinois St, Kirksville MO

If students reside in nearby counties, call their county clerk or check their website to see which is their voting location. Different counties have different ballots, so students should make sure they are going to the correct location.

Additionally, before voting, Koy said he recommends that students understand the issues that are on the ballot.

“I just recommend that anyone who’s going to vote really pays attention to these articles read up on all the amendments that are being voted on, because the official language may be unclear,” Koy said. “And so, as a voter, you want to be informed about the decisions you’re making.”
