Signs and stickers were available in the middle of the bar room next to donation envelopes. Individuals wrote checks out to Kunce’s campaign. Crowd members sat with drinks and food while listening to Kunce. Kunce spoke about women’s reproductive care, his childhood, and current Missouri Senator, Josh Hawley. Lucas Kunce spoke to members of the Kirksville community Oct. 28. The DuKum Inn began filling up at 5:30 p.m. Kunce began speaking at 6:20. Protestors stood outside the DuKum Inn offering those walking by safety glasses, orange vests, and copies of “Gun Safety for Dummies.” The protestors refused to say their names and organization. This was in protest to an incident where a piece of shrapnel hit reporter Ryan Gamboa, when Kunce shot a gun at a shooting range stop on his campaign trail Democratic nominee for Missouri Senate, Lucas Kunce, shook hands with Randy Hagerty upon his arrival to the DuKum Inn (Photos by Grace Potter).
