Truman State University’s men’s basketball team lost 82-70 Saturday afternoon against No. 1 Bellarmine University.
The loss drops the Bulldogs’ ranking to third place in the GLVC, with only two games left in the regular season. The top 8 make it into the GLVC Basketball Championships.
Redshirt sophomore guard Brodric Thomas scored the most points of the game for the Bulldogs with 21, but was closely followed by junior guard Jake Velky with 19 points. Redshirt senior forward Zach Fischer rounded out the double-digit club with 10 points.
The men’s team will play William Jewell College at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to start their final week of the regular season.
