Omicron Delta Kappa is a selective leadership honor society with a focus on connecting leaders from all disciplines on campus. To join, you must first meet our high eligibility standards (being in the top 35% percent of your class, among other things) and have your application be accepted by our application review board. 

Members get to enjoy sharing leadership experiences and growing their skill sets (and resumes!) by hearing from other leaders’ experiences and by participating in an exclusive meeting with President Sue Thomas once a year to advocate for and inquire about student issues on campus, which is something that no other group at Truman gets to do as an organization. We also are involved with service in the Kirksville community to further give back to the people that have given us opportunities to lead. We love having a group of peers from all different backgrounds, majors, and experiences who see life differently but are all leaders driven by the desire to do the best they can. 

I’ve loved being a member of ODK and watching it grow from a small, close-knit group of individuals to a bigger group of people dedicated to improving the lives of our fellow students all across campus. When I walk into a meeting, I know that I’m surrounded by people who care about making our campus a better place and learning from each other. We are currently accepting applications until April 14!
