Students were provided solar eclipse glasses by the physics department in order to protect their eyes while viewing. The next solar eclipse in the continental U.S. will be Aug. 12, 2045. Students gathered on The Quad to watch the partial solar eclipse April 8. Several Greek life organizations sold refreshments to fundraise for Greek Week, and students played soccer and Frisbee while waiting for the eclipse.
