Truman State University’s men’s tennis team lost 7-2 to Principia College in their neutral site meet on Saturday, with both the Bulldogs’ victories coming from the team’s Thiele brothers.
The men’s tennis record is 0-9 for the season, but this is the second meet where the team won more than one match in the meet.
Sophomore Nick Thiele beat the Panthers’ Brody Swan in the number four singles in two matches, and freshman Matt Thiele beat the Panthers’ Peter Griswold in the number six singles, also in two matches.
The Bulldogs start GLVC play at their next meet with Quincy University on March 24 on Truman’s tennis courts.
