Truman State University’s women’s basketball team evened out their GLVC record Saturday afternoon as they beat Bellarmine University 75-67.
The Bulldogs were clinging to seventh place in the GLVC for much of the 2018 season, often tying for the spot with a losing record, but with their recent string of three wins, the ‘Dogs have evened out their record, secured seventh place for themselves and have started catching up to their winning-record competitors.
Freshman center Katie Jaseckas earned her fifth double-double of the season, scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds, but was fourth in points scored for the Bulldogs. Sophomore guard Sloane Totta took the lead once again with 14 points, junior forward Rachel Edmundson scored 12 and senior forward Ashley Hartwig scored 11.
Next week is the last of the regular season for the Bulldogs, starting with a match for vengeance against William Jewell College at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
