Uncorked Wine Festival is coming to Kansas City, Missouri, for the first time, bringing with it the joy and curiosity of the wine world — 100 samples of wines, live music, food trucks and a festival atmosphere create the perfect place for the weekend with friends and family. The Union Station Grand Ballroom features a historical building with a central location and great ambiance for musical events. The event supplies wine from the U.S. and international wineries, and some local wineries will provide festival goers with wine knowledge and samples. Michelle Harris, Uncorked Wine Festival event planner, says the variety of wine comes from France, New Zealand and Spain, so people will have an opportunity to enjoy wines from different parts of the world. Guests can try wines and learn about pairing them with food.
“We want to create a fun wine tasting experience for wine lovers in KC,” Harris says.
The VIP hour will start at 5 p.m., and general admission opens at 6 p.m. To get in the festival mood, people can wear cocktail attire, but it is not required. The food trucks include Boyer’s Meatballs, Jazzy B’s BBQ and Fine Thyme. The event will have a DJ spinning pop music to bring a delightful atmosphere.
