Wrestling wins for first time this season

Truman State University’s wrestling team claimed their first victory of the season tonight in a match against Hannibal-LaGrange University, winning 28-18.

The Bulldogs won six of their nine matches — a pair of technical falls from redshirt junior Caleb Olson and senior Luke Komotos, a pair of decisions from redshirt junior Dakota Schutter and junior Sam Reeves, and a pair of forfeits from freshman Nick Peglow and redshirt junior Zach Taylor. Tonight was Reeves’ third consecutive win this season.

Truman also celebrated Senior Night after the meet, featuring Komotos, Schutter and senior Drew Rentschler, who did not compete tonight because of an arm injury.

The Bulldogs will travel Saturday to Bellarmine University, where they’ll compete against Bellarmine and University of Indianapolis.
