The Truman State University men’s basketball team beat Rockhurst University 82-71 on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs have won every other game so far since spring 2018 classes started, and this game was no exception to the trend. Truman now has an 8-4 record and ranks fourth in the GLVC.
The game was mostly the ‘Dogs versus Hawk forward Quinton Curry, who scored 31 points. Curry made 11-12 field goal attempts and 9-11 free throw attempts. The Bulldogs took him on with a team effort — redshirt sophomore guard Brodric Thomas and redshirt freshman guard Turner Scott each scored 17 points, redshirt senior Zach Fischer scored 14, and junior guard Jake Velky scored 13, a total of 61 points between the four players.
The men next embark on their final road trip of the season to play William Jewell College at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8.
