Paino announces resignation

Truman State University President Troy Paino announced he will be stepping down from his position at the end of this semester.

In a campus-wide email, Paino says he informed the Board of Governors that he will leave Truman July 1 to take on the role of President of the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, a liberal arts university.

Paino has worked as Truman’s University President since 2010, and says he is leaving for family reasons.

TMN will provide more details as they are made available.
