A teenager died Wednesday night after being shot shortly before 11 p.m. in Kirksville.
Seventeen-year-old Izaiha J McFarland was pronounced dead last night at Northeast Regional Medical Center after being shot north of The Square. The Kirksville Police Department said in a press release officers arrested two other teenagers, 17-year-old Andrew Head and 18-year-old Drake D. Zanoni, in connection with the crime. McFarland was found near Franklin and Hickory streets in Kirksville.
Both suspects are being held at the Adair County Detention Center, according to the press release. KPD said they expect prosecutors to file murder charges against the two today.
