Truman State University’s women’s basketball team finished their regular season in sixth place in the GLVC after defeating the University of Illinois Springfield 73-49 Saturday afternoon.
Freshman center Katie Jaseckas led the team with 26 points and 13 rebounds to earn her seventh double-double of the season. Junior forward Rachel Edmundson also hit double digits with 10 points.
All but two members of the Truman team got time on the court for their final game of the season, and all six seniors — a third of the 18-player team — played for Senior Day.
The Bulldogs start the GLVC Championships against No. 3 Lewis University at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
