Missouri voters pass Amendment 1

Missouri voters passed Amendment 1, also known as Clean Missouri, with 61.989 percent of the vote.

Voters in Adair County cast 5,203 votes, 61.42 percent, in favor of Amendment 1.

Clean Missouri is an amendment aimed at containing political corruption in Jefferson City. The proposal will limit gifts to legislators and ban them from becoming lobbyists immediately after serving in office, among other restrictions. The amendment will also revise the process for redrawing congressional district boundaries after each national census.
